Ok Let Us Know What Is Network Mapper (Nmap) .Nmap Security Scanner Tool Is originally written by Gordon Lyon, also known by his pseudonym Fyodor Vaskovich used to discover hosts and services on a computer network, thus creating a "map" of the network. To achieve its goal, Nmap sends specially crafted packets to the target host and then analyzes the responses.

This software provides features to complete a computer network such as the discovery of services and operating system detection systems and other in-depth information. These features are extensible by scripts that provide more advanced services detection, vulnerability detection, and other information. Nmap also able to adapt to network conditions, including latency and network congestion during the scan. Nmap is under development and the improvement of the user community.


Originally nmap utility is Linux only, but it was transferred to Microsoft Windows, Solaris, HP-UX, BSD variants (including Mac OS X), AmigaOS and SGI IRIX. Linux is the most popular platform, followed by Windows


Type in Terminal!
